Almost every adventure starts off when you least expect it, although it helps if you are often involved in weird situations. However, even a regular day can turn into a memorable adventure under the right circumstances, but fantasy stories and movies almost always feature the perfect storm of elements that lead to all sorts of interesting situations.
Escape from a park and save your friend at the same time
Dark Dimensions: Vengeful Beauty is a hidden object adventure game in which you get to tackle a supernatural mystery and put some of your survival skills to the test as well. There are no incredible new mechanics at play here, so don’t expect anything revolutionary in terms of gameplay. On the other hand, there’s no need for brilliant new ideas when the old ones work just as well.
In essence, the whole action takes place in the Oldforester National Park, where the main character is looking for one of his friends. Naturally, it turns out that there’s something much scarier in the park, and the monster immediately sets its sights on you. You get to unravel the mystery over the course of the game, as well as deal with many other supernatural events.

The puzzles are far from complex when it comes to their solutions, but at least they are intriguing enough to keep you guessing for a while. Some of them feature repetitive answers that force you to search for specific patterns, but others are more challenging and exciting than that. In addition, the hidden object sequences come in many different shapes and sizes as well, so there’s plenty of fun to be had.
Lastly, the graphics are fairly colorful and enjoyable, at least if you know what to expect from the genre. Every environment is static and hand-drawn, but the colors are nice and expressive, not to mention the fact that every scene contains many interesting objects. Furthermore, the cutscenes are quite fun to watch as well, and the sound effects contribute to the overall atmosphere too.

All in all, Dark Dimensions: Vengeful Beauty is a tad disappointing in the story department, and it certainly doesn’t come with any new gameplay ideas, but at least it’s familiar and enjoyable. Thus, it should be quite the treat for the fans.
